Sacred Heart Church, Manville NJ

The theme of the 2012 Bishop's Annual Apeal – Christ alive in his people – serves to remind us of the work being done by more than 25 diocesan ministries that embody the healing, teaching, and caring spirit of Christ.

Bishop Bootkoski invited us to join him in celebrating the Year of Faith, a time for us to prayerfully reflect and rediscover our faith. Through deepening our relationship with God we come to know ourselves better and the incredible potential each one of us has in bringing joy, hope and love to those we meet in our journey. The gifts that God has bestowed upon us are meant to be shared; for it is through charity that we truly experience our faith, seeing God’s love working through our hands and within our lives.

As you consider making a gift to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, I ask that you reflect on the many ways God’s grace has revealed itself in your own life, your family’s life. Gifts made to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal change lives. The numerous and varied pastoral, educational and charitable ministries of the Diocese of Metuchen have profound impact on thousands of parishioners throughout our diocese, including many right here in our parish family. It is my hope that every parishioner will support the appeal at a level that is most comfortable for them.
